Add this steel screen to your brewing kettle or food grade cooler, converting it into an effective mash tun. Constructed of fine, high quality stainless steel mesh, this torpedo screen (also known as a mash tun screen or bazooka screen) is durable and easy to clean. A sturdier alternative to flexible braided pipe material, the screen prevents grain debris from flowing through and clogging the outer valve while draining wort. Simply screw the screen into an existing 1/2-inch female NPT port to install. This fitting will thread directly into the inside of most all brew kettles with 1/2 inch ports, or into the back of most 1/2” ball valves, allowing you to better filter trub and whole hops from your wort while transferring from your kettle to your fermenter.
The screen will stay in place during dough-in or stirring. Clean your torpedo screen after each use with warm water and mild detergent before sterilizing.
